The D-249 E4 and D-249 E5 engines are the first Minsk diesel engine designed for a car at once. It is primarily intended for medium-duty trucks and buses of small and medium class.
The D-249 model retains the traditional MMZ units dimension (110x125 mm) and working volume (4.75 liters). In terms of dimensions and weight, the promising diesel is close to the serial model D-245. But this is almost everything that connects a promising novelty with its predecessor. Otherwise, Minsk residents have made a significant step forward. Thus, the power has increased to 190 hp, and the specific fuel consumption has been reduced to 145 g/hp.h.
